I love “Ebi-Fry” fried shrimp with plenty tartar sauce!

This is an Indian Prawn (Penaeidae. indicus), which is called “Indian White” in Japanese.

Its’a family of “Kuruma-Ebi” although “Kuruma-Ebi” is used in a narrow sense only for Marsupenaeus japonicus.

・Ebi-Fry
is a dish name of fried shrimp. エビフライ/海老フライ(エビフライ) literally “fried shrimp”  * 海老 “shrimp”
・Kuruma-Ebi
is a Marsupenaeus japonicus. 車海老(くるまえび) literally wheel shrimp”, but it is uncertain what’s is responsible for “車 wheel” name.
・Tartar sauce
is a mayonnaise-based sauce for condiment with seafood dishes. タルタルソース(たるたるそーす)
