“Rolled-Cabbage” with Tomato Sauce
It is one of the most popular “Yoshoku”, Japanese cuisine that was influenced by Western cooking originated during the Meiji period.
Japanized cuisine of European dishes “Yoshoku” is written “洋食” in Kanji, literally “western dish”.
“Roll Kyabetsu” is a typical dish of “Yoshoku” and the name is featuring Western names Cabbage roll (stuffed cabbage).
Others are Omerice, Pork Katsu (cutlet), Curry Rice, Hayashi Rice, Korokke (croquette), Ebi Fry (fried shrimp), Spaghetti Napolitan, Doria, etc.
I’m going to introduce them at this site little by little.
I prefer the steamed cabbage for wrapping than boiled cabbage and than cooked with a microwave.
Today’s recipe is simmered in tomato sauce.
